June 2018 part 15: Corn Palace and Badlands, South Dakota

We loved South Dakota.

After lunch, our next stop was the World's Only Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. The kids acted corny ...

... bought some sunglasses ...

... posed with a corn statue ...

... and admired the murals made from corn that deck the Palace.

Then we got our first taste of the Badlands.

We were impressed.

We stayed south of the park, just outside of Interior, South Dakota (population: 94). There were two places to eat, one in the park and one in Interior. We tried the local spot first, sprinting inside to get out of the rain.

It was a delightful experience.
