July Part 3 of 6 (out and about!)

While in Oregon, we managed to fit in some urban hiking as well at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge in Portland.



Then back at the house, Madeline made forts for her and Jack the cat.


One day we ventured far afield, to the Elkton Community Education Center.  We explored the gardens ...



... struck poses ...


... made crafts at an old fort ...


... put on a puppet show in the library ...


... and communed with butterflies!


The place is quite a gem tucked away in the town of Elkton (population 200).

Later we continued our playground tour.




Ah, summer in Oregon.
