August Part 3 of 6 (summer in New England)

Usually our summer travels take us right up to the school year, but this year we had a bit of a buffer at the end of the summer.  So we did more summery things, such as visiting the Roger Williams Natural History Museum.  Madeline applied herself to the scavenger hunt with gusto.

She also decided that her pet snail shelly ...

... (remember Shelly?) needed a new home, so she bought it a special snail habitat.

We spent some time at the beach.

And, our natural-history appetites as yet unsated, we visited Harvard ...

... and its Museum of Natural History ...

... Triceratops skull ...

... whale bones ...

... and all.

Woo!
