Oregon Part 4

Way back in August, we were in Oregon.  Here are Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of that visit; this post is Part 4.

When we left off, we had returned from a trip to the coast.  Our next big outing was to the Oregon Zoo.

Madeline was impressed by a sleeping cougar.

Oliver admired the leopard.

And the leopard admired the children.

Uncle Matt pointed out some aquatic life to the kiddos.

And Oliver and Aunt Sarah enjoyed lunch.

The kiddos also enjoyed sharing lunch with a clefairy.

After lunch, Uncle Marc helped the kiddos run off some energy.

Then Uncle Matt led the way through more exhibits.

Sometime after the zoo, we went for a hike on Sauvie Island.

And still another day,  we headed to Timberline Lodge to visit Smoky the Bear ...

... enjoy the view ...

... pick up souvenirs ...

... and take a short hike around Mount Hood ...

... where, for some reason, the kiddos decided to pretend to be chickens.

After wandering around the mountain a bit, we returned to Timberline Lodge to relax.
