She's going to take care of Madeline when Beetle's born, and Madeline is excited about this!
On Friday, Grandma Mandy and Madeline wore the same shirt!
On Saturday, we walked around the neighborhood and paid our first visit to Characters Cafe, which just opened this year. Madeline endorses the rainbow sherbet!
We also visited the library. (Madeline endorses the library, too.)
Today, we went back to East Matunuck Beach.
We had fun!
Then at home this afternoon, Summer posed for some pregnancy glamour shots.
While we were outside, we found a cicada.
We thought it was dead, but later it disappeared -- either it was alive after all, or it became bird food.
It can be hard to get pictures of what Madeline is like much of the time. This is a pretty good example, though.
Other times, she does calm and gentle things, like read books to Petey ...
... or just sit with him.
Hopefully, this will carry over to her relationship with Beetle.
Tonight after Madeline went to bed, Summer had to try to squeeze in some lab work before Beetle's arrival. My original guess was that he'd come tomorrow, but there are no signs that that might happen ... yet ...
