Oregon Part 3

That ten-days-of-rain forecast didn't pan out in the end.  So we headed out again, this time to George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego, where we saw an imposing raptor of some sort ...

... as well as some lovely scenery ...

... and fun sculptures.

One day, the kiddos enjoyed some special time with their grandparents while all the younger adults went out to take in Rogue One.

The kiddos do adore grandparental time.

We also took advantage of our usual Powells visit to also scope out Blue Star Donuts in Portland.  Sooooo good.

As our time in Oregon waned, Madeline showered ever more affection on her Oregonian feline cousins ...

... and Oliver dressed in NASA swag ...

... and before we knew it, we were on an airplane (!) back to Rhode Island.

(After spending some time in Chicago on a layover, of course.)

I had to go into work the next day, but Summer kept the kiddos busy with art projects ...

... and general merriment.

And in honor of the new year, we took the kiddos to get haircuts.

Then we made fondue for dinner -- yum!
