January Part 3: Delaware & Protest

After the snow, the kiddos were back to school. Madeline was proud to show off her painting in the school art show.

She had also produced this piece, posted just outside her classroom.

That weekend, we made an unexpected trip to Delaware for Christmas Part 2

The kiddos were excited to see Grandma Susy and Grandpa John ...

... and Uncle Alex too!

We made it back to Rhode Island in time for Madeline to celebrate her friend's sixth birthday.

She also worked on assembling some of her Christmas Legos; she was very proud of her work on this elven ship.

The following weekend, the kiddos attended their first protest.

Oliver announced his opposition to grabbing, hitting, and biting.  Madeline had a supportive message of love and standing up for others.

The crowd was impressive.

And the day was warm.

Both children shed their shirts and reveled in the energy of the day.

They were happy to share their signs with others.

All in all, it was an enlightening experience.
