As July drew to a close, so did Oliver's time in day care. We picked up donuts for his teachers as a thank you.
At the end of the day, Oliver got his picture taken with two of his teachers ...
... and hugged his friends goodbye.
Then the goodbyes continued. One of Madeline's science experiments had been taking care of caterpillars as they fattened up, formed chrysalides, and emerged as pink lady butterflies.
Before we left home for a week, we released the butterflies into the wild.
Once the butterflies were free, we loaded the kiddos into the car ...
... and headed off to Delaware!
In Delaware, we visited Great Grandpa Royce.
And we hung out with Nanny and Pop Pop ...
... before having a nice lunch together.
Then back at Grandma Susy and Grandpa John's house, while hunting for Pokemon, we found a toad instead!
Madeline was fascinated.
And at night the kiddos were thrilled to have Uncle Alex read them their bedtime books.
