Mid-November, a month late

It's been a long time since I posted!  This post will take us up to packing for Thanksgiving.

Back in November, Oliver played with duplos.

The night before Summer's birthday, we ordered delivery sushi.  Oliver was favorably impressed!

As was Madeline.

On Summer's birthday, we went to Newport.  We played on First Beach.

We visited the Save the Bay aquarium.

Madeline practiced her letters in the sand.

And Oliver roamed around, taking it all in.

We had fun.

Then we had lobster.

And then, later, we had cake.

Madeline has expanded her repertoire of characters she draws.

One day, she put on Summer's sunglasses and asked Summer to text me a picture.  The goal was to trick me into believing she was Summer.

When sunglasses alone didn't work, she tried the full ensemble.

Then the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we met up with Lea, Sam, Deb, and Noah at our neighborhood theater for a performance by Big Nazo.  Madeline went up on stage and donned a frog head.

Then she told everyone what she was thankful for.

The next day, we met up with Emily, Lauren, and Dan at a beach in Connecticut followed by lunch.

Madeline's Big Nazo experience drove her to draw even odder creatures.

The kids tend to enjoy each other very much these days.

And they also enjoyed getting ready to travel to Delaware for Thanksgiving.
