Today we placed a bit more of a premium on relaxation than we had earlier this weekend. So we had a quiet morning at home, lunch out with Julia and sh-AW-n (phonetic), and, a little later, a stop by Mad Ernie's for a chocolate milkshake (me) and a couple scoops of chocolate peanut butter (Summer). Madeline wanted some milkshake ...
... and the couple drops she got must have wired her.
She seemed to enjoy the experience.
Then this evening, of course, I did my duty as an American and grilled a steak (from Pat of course) -- perfect with sliced tomato and grilled zucchini and yellow squash for an all-farmers-market dinner. We gave Madeline a hunk of steak to gnaw; she absolutely loved it!
And then it was bedtime.
